RCOM-2/PC is a complete communications package featuring various methods of file transfer, complete takeover of remote PCs, several types of terminal emulation, and a complete Script Language.
RCOM-2/PC specializes in IBM terminal emulation through a HYDRA-II ASCII Protocol Converter attached to an IBM mainframe computer. RCOM-2/PC has its own file transfer protocol (AFTP) which enables fast file transfer between a PC and a mainframe that is running RCOM/MF software. AFTP also provides very fast PC-to-PC file transfer.
RCOM-2/PC can enable a PC printer to emulate a 3286 mainframe printer while attached to a HYDRA.
RCOM-2/PC supports most common terminal types and file transfer protocols, allowing dial-in to most on-line services and other PCs. It also includes a powerful TRACE facility for aid in trouble-shooting, a journal file in which important events are logged, and a built-in text editor which can be used while on-line.
Using RCOM-2/PC's sophisticated script language, called "RASL", you can automate just about any communications task. You can completely front-end RCOM-2/PC with your own custom menu if you like.
This is only a DEMO version distributed on Bulletin Boards and is limited to 30 minute sessions and 5 minute file transfers. It does not include the Remote Takeover or Bear Bone$ features.
